In the name of Allah, The most Gracious, The most Merciful
On the occasion of Eid Al-Mabath, and on behalf of IWA website, members, friends and associates of Iranians community of Western Australia, I wish to congratulate all Muslims around the world and all spiritual, peace loving people from every ethnicity and nationality, especially Iranian Muslims, the most happy greetings of Eid Al-Mabath.
Then I wish to share an idea with you that aims to unite all Iranians Shia Muslims who live in Western Australia, bring them together, and create a better living environment for Shia people here.
Please find below my notes, which may serve as a proposal to form the “Iranians Muslim Association of Western Australia”. For sure the suggested name as well as all the other statements in the proposal are just examples, and should be reviewed, modified, and finalised by a “Constitution Development Team” and get approved by the “Association Assembly”.
However this idea could be turn to an act, if it could find enough support from community members. So, please read through the below proposal and VOTE using the polling section on the right side-bar of this page.
If you wish to become a member of the association (when established) addition to the voting, please also send me an email mentioning whether you wish to accept a position within the Association Management Board or not. Your email address will be used to inform you about the date and time for the Association meetings.

Establishment Proposal
The “Iranian Muslim Association of Western Australia” (IMA-WA) would be form as Non-Profit NGO to unite all Iranian Muslims who live in Western Australia, bring them together and to provide cultural and religious support and services to all Muslims in the community.
Objectives:
1. To study and identify the emerging needs of the Muslim communities especially Iranian Muslims and liaise with relevant agencies to ensure the allocation and provision of resources and services, and to try to create a better living environment for all Muslims living in Australia.
2. Providing support for running religious Sermons and Majalis.
3. To revive the name and path of the Holy Prophet and His Holy Ahlul-Bayt (as) by propagating the correct teachings of our profound faith among our fellow Muslims and also non-Muslims.
4. Introducing Islam to the Australian society and clarifying any points of misunderstanding on Islamic principals.
5. Through educating the general public about our faith, we aim to be able to sponsor Islamic practice throughout the wider community Insha-Allah.
6. Establishing cordial relations with the political and social authorities of the Australian government and advocate on behalf of the Iranian-Australian Muslim community’s welfare.
7. Provide support and assistance to representatives of Iranians Muslims in the “Shia Council of Western Australia”, and when required, running the electoral process for the election of future representatives in the council.
8. Co-ordinate Islamic education programs for Iranian youth and children.
The membership of the association is free and open to all Iranian Muslims of WA. The people who are “Permanent Resident” or “Australian Citizen” would be accepted as members, and those with “Temporarily Resident Visa” or “student Visa” as “Associate Member”.
All members and associate members are able to participate in any kind of the activities of the Associations, however due to some legal restrictions only members who are “Permanent Resident” or “Australian Citizens”, are eligible to vote or being elected as “Representatives” of the Community in Shia Council of WA.
